Encaustic Workshops
Explore encaustic painting and collage in this beginner-friendly workshop using warm beeswax, pigment, wood, paper, and found imagery. You’ll learn basic layering, fusing, texture, and embedding techniques to create luminous mixed-media pieces with depth and dreamy little histories. No experience needed.
$120 per workshop (one 5-hr class, 7 people maximum per class)

Discover the magic of woodblock printmaking in this hands-on workshop designed for artists, beginners, and curious makers alike. You’ll learn how to carve, ink, and hand print your own bold, layered images using simple tools and techniques that can easily be continued at home. No press? No problem. This workshop focuses on accessible methods for creating striking prints without expensive equipment, giving you the skills and confidence to keep making long after the class ends. Press available to those who want to try this method. Come ready to experiment and get inky. Leave with your own handmade prints and the knowledge to start your own printmaking practice from your kitchen table, studio corner, or wherever creativity finds you.
Arnold Sharp has a BFA from the University of Oregon with a specialty in woodblock printing. He has loved and made art since he was young. Originally from Boise, Sharp currently resides in Eugene, Oregon.
Cyanotype Workshop
Saturday, August 22, 1 - 4pm, $75

Discover the magic of cyanotype, a beginner-friendly photo printing process that uses sunlight to create rich blue-and-white images. You’ll learn how to arrange objects, expose your design, and rinse your print to reveal beautiful botanical, abstract, or found-object compositions. No experience needed, just curiosity and a little sunshine.
